As entrepreneurs and business owners, we are always looking for ways to streamline our efforts whilst growing our businesses. There is a ton of software out there that can help on both these fronts, and I wanted to share my Top Five Online Business Tools with you.
I have chosen these because they are tried and tested (and loved by me!), and I simply could not run my business without them.

1. Kajabi.
An all-round good egg when it comes to managing an online business. Not only can you build your entire website inside Kajabi, but you can use it for standalone sales and landing pages. There are numerous templates available, which means you can create something pretty whizzy without needing to know a jot of code.
I also use Kajabi to host my online programme, Marketing Megastars. It makes managing a course really easy, and is very user friendly for my students to use too. Uploading course videos takes two minutes, and isn’t charged per view like some platforms.
The automated emails you can set up to send at various points in the student journey are an admin lifesaver of the highest level. Kajabi can also be used as a complete email marketing system, although I prefer the functionality of ConvertKit (see below).

2. ConvertKit.
The most user-friendly email software out there! I gave up on MailChimp in 2020 as it was too clunky, and switched to ConvertKit, and I haven’t looked back. It’s logical to use, and has all the features you could ever ask for, from basic broadcasts (one-off emails), through to more complicated sales funnels and email sequences.
If you’re starting out, you can also build simple sign up pages in ConvertKit, allowing you to start collecting people’s email addresses straight away. I love it!

3. Canva.
If you’ve been in my world for any longer than five minutes, you will know how much I adore this graphic design tool. I have been using it since its launch in 2013, and have recommended it to about a million people along the way! I love it for its simplicity, ease of use, logical layout, excellent customer service, and range of inspiring templates. Nothing is too much for this lovely tool.
If you find photoshop too complicated (I know I do!) but want to create eye-catching social media graphics, you need to have a dabble with Canva.

4. Later.
I have trialled around 40 different social media management tools in my decade in business, and the one that I have used consistently for the last seven or eight years is Later. It works on a simple upload-your-image, then drag-and-drop-into-a-calendar principle, which is a joy to use. There is enough functionality to cover your needs, but not too much that you’re overwhelmed and end up paying for stuff you will never ever use.
It’s excellent for Instagram scheduling, and also works well for Facebook and LinkedIn. You can use it for TikTok, Twitter, and Pinterest too, so there is no need for multiple scheduling tools.
This link will get you some free credits so you don’t have to pay anything straight away (it’s about $15 a month for three social media accounts)
5. FreeAgent.
Accounting software often gets overlooked, but I actually couldn’t manage my business at all without FreeAgent. It’s finance with a sense of fun, as everything is explained in very simple language, from their how to guides, through to their excellent customer support team.
Link your bank account to the software, set up auto-allocation, and that’s a good chunk of your financial admin done! This has been my go to software for nine or so years, and I would definitely recommend it if you’re starting out, or looking for something very user-friendly.
